Teachers and Care Workers Working with Children Who Challenge
Adults working with children who present challenges can often feel isolated and disempowered due to the constant battle between trying to understand and meet the child's needs whilst meeting the needs of the whole group. These feelings can be compounded when the behaviours and needs presented seem to be directed at the individual or when other adults report the child responds differently towards them.
Donna and Katie's experience in educational settings, alongside their current therapeutic roles, enables them to combine the two to offer a space to a range of professionals who are interested in exploring the meaning of a child's behaviour and how they, as the professional working with the child, can provide the most effective support.
Where a number of adults are working with a child, or group of children, supervision can be provided in small groups by arrangement.
